Virtual Tour of the Pauli Murray Center
Pauli Murray was a pioneering writer, labor and civil rights activist, legal scholar, feminist, priest, and life-long learner whose work shaped the civil rights landscape in the 20th century. Their childhood home was instrumental in shaping the person s/he became and provides a way for people to connect with an important historical figure. To bring this place to new audiences and share more about Pauli’s impact on the world, CyArk partnered with the Pauli Murray Center for History and Social Justice to develop a Tapestry experience on the childhood home of Pauli Murray in Durham North Carolina. This 3D exploration features expert and family perspectives, historic images, and excerpts from Pauli’s writings, allowing visitors to connect with the spaces that shaped Pauli’s vision of justice. This project was generously supported by Iron Mountain.
